MISSION AND HISTORY
MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and wellness of marginalized groups in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence in Lebanon and its regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC's strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC will provide comprehensive services for marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, build knowledge and capacities on SOGI (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Role) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ+ rights violations.
We strive to create mosaic communities where individuals of different sexual orientations and gender identities coexist on the basis of understanding and mutual respect.
We inspire breakthroughs in the way communities and states interact with LGBTIQ+ and introduce more inclusive approaches in the fight against homophobia/transphobia.
We provide services to all marginalized groups and for LGBTIQ+ communities. We work to bridge service gaps for male survivors of sexual violence and transgender persons. The structure of MOSAIC reflects the inclusive integrated community in which we believe.
We advocate for LGBTIQ+ friendly national systems and local communities. We care for individual identities as much as we work for community equality. Our integrated interventions are designed to equally engage LGBTIQ+ persons and others.
We mobilize people and resources in a dynamic and principled process leading to achieve LGBTIQ+ natural integration in communities.
